Your IMS Esports Smashdogs competed in Round 1 of the MSEL tournament tonight with 3 players kicking the season off with wins in their Best of 5 match series. Kolton Foraker swept his opponent 3-0 with a tasty performance on Kirby that ate up the competition! Colton Dick pulled off an incredible comeback when he said “Let’s go!” as Mario and fought back from being down 0-2 to taking the 3-2 win. Lawson McClure rounds out the winners circle by adding a victory by forfeit to his record in this first of 7 weeks of competition.
I'd like to give an honorable mention from tonight to Enoch Scott’s gut wrenching 2-3 loss in the final match of the night. He and his opponent from Bartlesville went toe to toe through 5 close games with it all coming down to a last furious exchange that could have gone either way.
Congratulations to all of tonight's winners and I can’t wait to see what all of our team can do throughout the rest of this tournament. Our next competition night is Wednesday when our Kartdogs hit the track in Mario Kart 8 for their first regular season appearance! The Smashdogs will be back in action Monday after Spring Break.
